January 2015

Alright another great week I'm having a blast but, at the same time I am just so tired all the time. It feels good to know that the reason I am so tired is because I worked all day for my heavenly father. I am grateful for the support of everyone back home. Recently as one of our spiritual thoughts I have been focusing on family. So in order to show everyone how important my family is to me I pass around the pictures of our family. I know that family's can be together forever. also that family's are from god he strategically hand picks who is in each family, everyone has a role to play. I never realized just how blessed I was to grow up in our family until now. Miss you all hope your doing awesome!

With love Elder Olson

Aloha!
Hey, I'm doing awesome!! This has been just the best week! We taught 18 lessons this week, we had 4 people come to church, also now we have two people with baptism dates! and more to come. We just got 4 new investigators this week as well! The Lord has decided to bless us for our willingness to work together and being obedient, and for teaching with love, we are in for another good week because our prayers are full already which is always good. Sorry I just realized that I never sent the letter that I wrote last wee, so I guess you will get two this week. Hope you're freezing because  I'm not! Ha Ha, write you later.

Hey Mom & Dad,
This week has been awesome! Elder Lee Chip Sao and I are doing great! We have really been bonding. Also I am starting to see the work progress I feel like I could have up to 5 Baptisms. This transfer (6 weeks) . We found out that this will be Elder Lee's last transfer, then he will be gone. I am so scared I am not ready for my trainer to leave yet, I barely know how to get around. It's been really bitter sweet though because I am excited to be done with training and I mean really excited, It's really boring and I would rather be teaching people. Also I get to be the one that knows stuff finally. Plus a new companion always makes thing interesting. But, I will really miss my companion, he keeps things interesting...  On a different note, I found some Poke that I like! Poke is raw fish that they mix with sauces and spices and is normally served with white rice. I haven't had a good experiences with it so far, until this week, I found one that they mixed with different garlic spices, it's pretty good. Lastly, something crazy that's been happening to me, is that I am starting to get a cold! I am adjusting to the warm weather, so now 65 degrees is cold to me! It's insane to me. Also this week I saw 3 people urinating in public, so I'm not sure whats going on there! Anyway, I love you all!!

Just wanted to let you know that I am doing awesome and that I love you all. Thanks for all the support and love. I don't have too much to say except I am starting to get a tan line under my watch again and I am super stoked about it. But here is some bonus good news I am also getting a killer ring tan line! I wasn't even expecting it. I hope you're doing well and that you have a Happy New year and not to party too hard, you crazy Mormons!

Alright it was another great week in the Waialua ward. actually probably the best week yet we committed one of our investigators to baptism! which was awesome! I have been slowly learning how to be more humble and more teachable. My companion is  the reason we have this commitment he may have not been the one who finally got her to decide but if he hadn't taught me to just listen instead of talk. I don't think i would have made any progress with this person. when i look back at the way i was just at the MTC and the way i am now its crazy the difference. I really can feel my testimony grow everyday i am out doing his work. I am grateful for the support of all of you, and I pray for you all everyday. Happy New Year !

something that wont be in the letter is what we did on new years. New years was a blast we were not allowed to prosilite due to the high number of drunk people. So the AP's came up with a scavenger hunt for us to do, which included, Get a picture of you give out a book of Mormon, get a picture of you singing a hymn. take a picture of you washing your car or doing service. also get a picture with a non member. and lastly take a picture of a sign that says Mahalo on it. and so Elder lee and I decide to try to get them all in one picture and we did I don't have the right picture yet but here or some of the ones we took before we took the real one i will send the completed picture next week because i forgot my camera haha also the guy we took these pictures with was super drunk haha it was really funny.

Aloha everyone I hope you Christmas was as warm and sunny as mine was haha. No my Christmas was great actually. I ate so much food Christmas day it was crazy! we ended up having two lunch appointment's and one dinner appointment. I ate from 1:00 until like 8:00 it was insane. and then the following day I was super sick but it was so worth it. something cool that happened this week actually on Christmas eve was as a zone we got to watch Frozen which has never been more funny in my life. the elders in my zone have been out way too long they were singing and super attracted to Elsa haha it was so great. Also one of the progressing investigator's that has been promising us he would come to church for a few weeks now finally came this Sunday!!! I had the biggest smile all day and just loved having him there with us. Something that I have found so cool on my mission this far is to find out just how much you can love a total stranger I have so much love for everyone I meet I hope i can keep this feeling because the gospel really is just an extension of Christ love for all of us. As missionary's that's our job is to be representatives of Jesus Christ and Jesus loved everyone
have great new years and set some goals this year to be more like Jesus and you will be blessed for it I testify of that in the name of our savior Jesus Christ amen.
